Berkeley officials to hold 'Stop the Violence' rally Sunday
Sunday's rally will be a chance to talk about "what has been done, what is being done and who really wants to dive deeper into this work."

UC Berkeley launches private security patrols near campus
UC Berkeley said the Treeline Security patrols would operate daily from 6 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. for "at least one month and possibly longer."

Mata'afa was pronounced dead at Highland Hospital shortly after 6:30 a.m. He had been walking with family members when a stranger shot them.
