Berkeley police found a loaded gun and arrested four men Friday morning after they crashed while fleeing from an officer who tried to pull them over, authorities report.

Reader tips: Berkeley-Oakland boom??
A bunch of people on Nextdoor were looking for info earlier this week about a huge boom they heard in Berkeley and North Oakland that shook homes and left people wondering.
We checked with Berkeley police, who said they never found the source. OPD reported that it sounded like a blown transformer.
We don't always get answers, but we're always happy to ask about incidents of concern, particularly those that affect a lot of people.
