On Thursday, Berkeley police arrested a Bay Area swim instructor in connection with sexual assault allegations against "a number of young victims."

Police say more victims may be out there and have urged them to come forward.

Bay Area swim coach arrested in child sexual assault case
BPD identified the suspect as Tyler Livingston of Emeryville and said there “may be more victims” who have not come forward.

This is a major investigation and the allegations are quite unusual in Berkeley. We will follow the case closely.

Of course the major East Bay news today revolved around Gov. Gavin Newsom's remarks about Oakland crime, which included references to Alameda County DA Pamela Price.

We attended her subsequent press conference this afternoon — where she disputed much of what the governor said about her.
