TBS Today, May 31
Today's story is yet another purse-snatching from a woman who was getting gas in North Berkeley.
The Scanner has the scoop.
This week we've been mostly focused on reporting some longer stories that are coming soon. We appreciate your patience.
Public safety town hall
Supervisor Keith Carson is holding a town hall event about public safety Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It's at Beebe Memorial Cathedral at 3900 Telegraph Ave. in Oakland.
Invited public safety officials include California Attorney General Rob Bonta, Alameda County Public Defender Brendon Woods, Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price, Alameda County Sheriff Yesenia Sanchez, Oakland Police Chief Floyd Mitchell and others. BPD will also be there.
Pints for Paws also comes Saturday
Saturday is the 10th anniversary of Pints for Paws. Buy tickets, bid on auction items and learn more from Berkeley Humane. (TBS is an event sponsor.)
No new Berkeley election updates
There haven't been any new election results posted since our update Wednesday, but we are keeping an eye out for them.
