Driver taken to Highland after rollover crash in Berkeley
The man was driving a BMW, which sustained major damage in the crash and came to rest on the passenger side.
A driver was rushed to Highland Hospital after a solo rollover crash in North Berkeley on Saturday evening.
The crash happened outside Andronico's and Crepevine near Shattuck Avenue and Cedar Street at about 6:20 p.m.
The man was driving a BMW, which sustained major damage in the crash and came to rest on the passenger side.
The Berkeley Fire Department removed the man from the BMW and took him to Highland Hospital "Code 3," with lights and sirens, according to dispatch traffic.
We were eating inside Crepevine. Apparently the driver came out of the Andronico’s parking lot at high speed, turned left, hit a pole and went airborne and rolled over. We heard a big WUMP and two police officers getting dinner in Crepevine went running out to assist.
