Driver hits woman in Berkeley crosswalk
Police said the woman, a Berkeley resident in her 20s, was taken to Highland Hospital with what appeared to be moderate injuries.
A driver struck a woman walking in a Berkeley crosswalk on Friday night, sending her to Highland Hospital, authorities report.
The crash took place at about 9 p.m. Friday.
Berkeley police said the driver was northbound on Grant Street and turned left onto University Avenue, where he collided with the woman in the crosswalk.
Police said the woman, a Berkeley resident in her 20s, was taken to Highland Hospital with what appeared to be moderate injuries.
She has since been released to recover at home.
The driver, a Vacaville man in his 20s, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
