The Alameda County DA’s office charged Gabriella Riemer on Wednesday morning with the murder of 60-year-old Heather Riemer.

Speaking of the Riemer case, several of you caught our misspelling of the last name yesterday.

For context, the name appears as "Reimer" in several official records, but we were able to confirm that's incorrect. We've fixed our original story and won't get it wrong again.

We're sad to share the news that Alameda County Superior Court Judge James Cramer has died. East Bay Times reporter Nate Gartrell has the story.
