Authorities are seeking information from the public about a non-injury shooting on Interstate 80 in Berkeley on Friday night.
Details were limited as of publication time, but the shooting "is believed to have taken place" around 8 p.m. Friday on eastbound I-80 between Ashby and University avenues, the California Highway Patrol reported.
A Vallejo man told authorities he heard a "single audible pop" while he was driving up the freeway, CHP Oakland said.

"The cause of the shooting remains unknown at this time," CHP Oakland said in a statement Saturday night. "Any information from the public regarding this incident is appreciated."
Authorities ask anyone with information about the shooting to call the CHP Oakland office at 510-457-2875 and ask for Officer J. California.
