A group of six boys and girls and an 18-year-old woman brandished a knife during a robbery at Walgreens in South Berkeley on Monday night, authorities report.
The group went into Walgreens, at 2801 Adeline St. (between Oregon and Stuart streets), around 9:40 p.m., the Berkeley Police Department said.
The crew snatched everything from candy to cosmetics, Berkeley police said.
When a store clerk confronted the group, one of its members threatened the clerk with a knife, according to the Berkeley Police Department.
They fled the scene, BPD said, but officers found at least some members of the group at the Ashby BART station.
Officers also found $150 worth of stolen property in the possession of one of the individuals, BPD said.
They were identified through witness statements and surveillance footage.
Police ultimately arrested five juveniles and an 18-year-old woman identified as Brianna Miller. She just turned 18 on Sunday, according to booking records online.
Some of the minors were taken to Alameda County Juvenile Hall in San Leandro while others were released to their parents, police said.
Miller was arrested on suspicion of robbery, conspiracy, resisting arrest and possessing a wireless device in jail, according to jail records online.
According to Berkeley police, she punched a jailer in the arm during booking.
Miller is being held on $250,000 bail and is scheduled for arraignment Thursday at Wiley W. Manuel Courthouse in Oakland.
